Selected over peers to command a Mechanized Sapper Company and a Headquarters and Headquarters Company.
Maintained a high level of readiness to support regional alignment to Africa, and globally available to support oversees combat operations. Brigade Engineer Officer

Responsible for planning coordinating and facilitating engineer missions in support of commander’s vision. This included prioritizing, allocating and synchronizing engineer assets at multiple locations. Additionally, responsible for facility management, and environmental compliance.
• Selected by the Brigade Commander to be one of three personnel to represent the brigade at the Joint Sahel Working group in Washington, D.C. The working group was a joint project between the Department of Defense and State Department analyzing the sources of instability in Northern Africa.
• Oversaw the transfer more than 30 administrative and maintenance facilities. Ensured compliance to all maintenance and transfer standards, and mediated disputes between affected organizations.
• Developed and implemented facility work order policy for 75 buildings. Streamlined administrative processing process and enhanced tracking capability.

Battalion Logistic Officer
Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington
Logistics Coordinator for a 763 Soldier Stryker Infantry Battalion; responsible for the planning, coordinating, and supervision of the Battalion’s logistical support systems; serves as the financial analyst and manages a budget of $1.7 million
• Planned, resourced, and oversaw the execution of a battalion deployment from Fort Lewis, WA to Shoalwater Bay Training Area, Australia. Contracted for the life support and daily operations of 763 Soldiers and equipment during field operations for 30 days.
• Managed multiple funding sources totaling $200 thousand monthly to replace and repair damaged and lost equipment. Saved the Army $500 thousand by acquisitioning equipment at no charge to the unit.

Civil-Military Operations Officer
Baghdad, Iraq
Civil-Military Operations Officer responsible for advising the commander on the relationships between the civilian populace and military operations; maintains liaison with other United States governmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, and international organizations.
• Project Manager for 12 consecutive projects (four brick and mortar) valued at $4.3 million. All projects completed on time and budget.
• Primary advisor for 2 Government of Iraq demilitarization projects. Coordinated and resolved disputes between the Government of Iraq, Iraqi Army, and various Iraqi emergency organizations to improve local security and traffic.

Mobility Support and Sapper Platoon Leader
Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington / Baghdad, Iraq
Responsible for the training and readiness of a 34 –Soldier Combat Engineer Platoon deployed to support overseas combat operations, and a 23 –Soldier Engineer Platoon as the only earth moving and bridging capability within the brigade.
• Designated as the #1 route clearance platoon in Iraq twice, above 60 other teams in theater. Platoon’s operating procedures were distributed to all route clearance teams in theater as “best practices” and published by the Center for Army Lessons Learned.
• Project manager for $1.2 million project to bring the Gray Army Airfield into Federal Aviation Administration compliance.
