• Over 15 years experience as a writer, contributing articles to major venues such as Arizona Highways, USA Today, New York Post, Yahoo Travel, The National (Abu Dhabi), Anderson Cooper’s AC360 Blog, The Huffington Post, The Arizona Republic, etc.
• Published a book through St. Martin’s Press. The book was added to the U.S. Marine Corps’ Professional Reading list. It was also the book-in-common at Florida State College Jacksonville (80,000 students) and Texas’s Collin College (52,00 students). Both culminated in weeklong events that included author lectures, book signings, and media events.
• Wrote chapters for several books.
• Contributed to several noteworthy radio/ TV programs: The Dennis Miller Show, All Things Considered (NPR), The Tony Livesey Show (BBC), CNN’s The Newsroom, CNN International, and CBC Connect (Canada).
• Produced over 135 articles, as a part-time ghost writer, on a wide variety of topics, to include: leadership, education, technology, travel, business, marketing, etc.

• Served as on-site project manager for the company’s Abu Dhabi training division, which provided courses to UAE Ministry of Interior personnel in the areas of professional development, college prep, and leadership.
• Developed curricula, recruited, screened and hired instructors, wrote and published training manuals, monitored and coached instructors on material delivery and classroom management, and served as instructor for advanced subject matter.
• Led a college prep program for Abu Dhabi police officers that had been accepted to USA/ UK universities.
• Managed the company’s day-to-day operations to include office and instructional team oversight, administration of millions of dollars in contracts, cost and expense control, bookkeeping and summary reporting, records management, student services, and general clerical support functions.
• Created a UAE specific cultural guide for U.S. instructors to enhance their regional cultural intelligence. • Developed proposals that generated $500K in supplemental work for the company.
• Maintained effective working relationships with UAE government officials, Emirati students, U.S. instructors, translators, and stakeholders.
• Attended meetings with high ranking Emirati officials and U.S. Diplomats to develop and implement effective training programs and to insure training goals and learning outcomes were met.
• Taught the following courses (partial listing): Business Writing, Report Writing for Police Officers, Human Rights, Dealing with Stressful Situations.
• Taught English Composition, Interdisciplinary Arts and Performance (400-level), and American Studies (200 & 300-level) courses in on-line, classroom and hybrid formats.
• Provided student-centered support via Blackbaord, in-person office hours (on the West Campus), and by telephone.
• Proactive in West campus activities, to include: Documentary Studies Degree Development Committee, Campus Environment Team, and Veterans Advisory Committee.
• Organized, prepared and revised/updated multi-media course materials and designed two online courses for the University.
• As part of a grant-funded, affiliate program of the International Documentary Association, wrote and directed a documentary filmabout U.S. Marine, Iraq war combat veterans.
• The documentary aired on The Pentagon Channel numerous times as well as at several college campuses and achieved official selection at the 2011 G.I. Film Festival and the 2012 Awareness Festival. • Promoted the five Operation in Their Boots films via social media, wrote blogs in support of the project, created Wikipedia pages for the films and filmmakers, and participated in pressers with international media outlets.
• Featured in the L.A. Times, NPR"s All Things Considered, Fox News, etc.
